Okay, okay, we are SO sorry that this episode took so long to get up on our blog. But with the chaos from The Social Brunch event and just getting everything in order for our upcoming episodes, we lost track of time! But we’re back, with our May episode from our hike/pottery session with Joel Jones from Livelihood & Caitlin Andrews owner of Northbound Ceramics.

This is actually one of those days/episodes that is unlike any other. On our hike we were kind of all over the place, plus we didn’t want you to hear us huffing and puffing (lol), so we didn’t record the conversation in the woods. We actually didn’t even really take many photos in the woods or have our phones on us at all. Which was so refreshing. As entrepreneurs we need to unplug every now and then, and this was the perfect opportunity to do what The Social Project encourages us all to do: get social off of social media.

Joel and his lovely wife Amy were so gracious to host us in their home for the afternoon for a little pottery lesson from Caitlin. If you’ve ever wanted to know more about pottery, clay, and glazing then this is the episode for you because Caitlin is seriously a wealth of knowledge when it comes to this stuff. It was also super special to see the connection and collaboration forming between Joel & Caitlin, and I mean seriously when else would a hiker, a potter and a wedding planner be in the same room together chatting about life and business? That’s what we aspire to do here at The Social Project, bring people together who wouldn’t normally get to collaborate or talk business, and let the magic happen on its own.

But enough explaining, we want you to listen for yourself 🙂
Shout out to Joel for snapping some BTS pics from the day. We will keep you updated on Instagram on the status of our creations! In the meantime, be sure to follow Joel & Caitlin on instagram to watch their progress and see all the fun stuff they are up to: @livelihood and @northboundceramics

Thank you so much for following along with The Social Project. As always, we want to leave you all with a question and a challenge originally written by one of our first episode guests Jenna Stewart – who did you inspire today? Who could you inspire tomorrow? Or maybe you need the inspiring? Whichever or whatever it is get out there and create, spread some empowerment and truth around and lift each other up! You never know what might be brewing, or what magic you might create.

Until next time,
