When dreaming up the idea for this Toronto Elopement shoot I wanted two things: first, for it to seem as real as possible; and second, for it to be sexy as hell. I worked closely with one of the most talented boss babes I know, Scarlet O’Neill, to pull together this vision with some of the top wedding vendors in our area. And guys, the results were sheer magic! I am pretty darn smitten with this entire day, the incredible talent behind it, and not to mention I am so proud that JuneBug Weddings wanted to feature this little ditty on their website.

One of my favourite things about the entire day was how NATURAL and comfortable our couple was – because in case you didn’t know, they weren’t a real couple. We could all sense the heat between these two throughout the entire day which made everything feel sexier, and certainly gave it that “real life” edge we were hoping for!

I knew I wanted to have some kind of floral structure hang over the table – after all, just because you are eloping doesn’t mean it can’t be wow-worthy and dramatic! Tellie from Hunt & Gather Floral was a total champ, channeling her inner ball player to toss fishing line over the ceiling rafters in order to pull off this STUNNING look. Honestly, I wish this hung over my kitchen table every day of the year.

I wanted to do something different with our stationery, which is why I decided to bring in some suede elements to really bring a dramatic depth to the tablescape. Barefoot and Boho worked her calligraphy magic with these as I can promise you they weren’t easy to write on!! Just everything about the shot above leaves me with serious butterflies – I love the way the fur and velvet anchor the table, and this muted green silk napkin really pops next to the gold flatware from Plate Occasions.
