I met Caitlin & Ryan through a friend of mine, so I have known them for a few years and had gotten to see their relationship first hand before they hired me. Working with them was so simple, even through a stressful pandemic full of ups and downs. They were calm and collected every time we spoke and I barely saw them on their wedding day because they were soaking in every single moment with each other & their loved ones.

They chose to remain separate until their ceremony which made for an extra emotional walk down the aisle. And I just loved that they both opened gifts from one another that made them smile and remember why they were doing this in the first place. Their goofy-ness, passion, kindness, and honesty will always be remembered.

I actually think their vows were my all time favourite I have ever heard! The way with which they both spoke was truly entrancing to sit and listen to. And the words they wrote for one another held so much raw beauty that it was endlessly breathtaking. Here is something Caitlin said that struck something in me:
“It’s difficult to conceive what I will need to be for you, what I will need to promise you. But what I know is this; Our lives will not always be as easy as they are now. We will face hardships, our commitment will be tested. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the publication of promises of eternal passion – that’s just being in love, which any fool can do. Real love itself is what is leftover when being in love has burned away. I promise to be there when our passion has faded, when our kids have moved out, I promise to grow with you, to remain committed to you forever and to love you always especially when it isn’t easy”.

The details themselves were minimal but impactful. I mean that ceremony set up was better than I could have envisioned it. The simplicity that the white details had to offer the vibe of the day really set the tone for how emotional, relaxed, and loving the entire day felt.

At the end of their dinner they were surprised with a same day edit of their video to watch and it was so special to watch them see how we all got to view their day. Yes of course they had been living it, but to be able to see it like this was truly spectacular. See the incredible video from Venture Films below!
